Does the iris actually work?
Yes, the leaves open and close by hand.

How is it different from the DHD pedestal?
This one has the iris; the Off-world Pedestal with a DHD - Spinning Inner Ring has a spinning ring and a DHD.

Which finish should I choose?
Silky Silver and Silky Gold have a sheen; Light Gray, Gray and Black are matte.

Does it light up?
No.

Is it coloured?
Yes. The colour is printed into the model using multi-colour 3D printing — each colour is laid down in place as it prints, not painted on afterwards, so it cannot chip or flake.

How it's made

Printed in PLA at a fine layer height, then hand-assembled and sanded back where needed. Made and finished in Sydney, Australia.

An honest note: this is FDM printing. Fine layer lines are visible up close — that is how the process works, not a defect.
