Nova Class Cochrane Science Vessel

The Nova-class USS Equinox or Cochrane model is a physical Star Trek: Voyager display ship, 3D printed in PLA and made in Sydney. Choose NCC-72381 Equinox, NCC-59318 Cochrane or a custom registry, plus fully coloured or glow finish.

Fully colored or Glow in the dark? Fully colored is the screen-accurate scheme. Glow in the dark uses phosphorescent filament on the hull so the ship reads as a silhouette in a dark room after it has been under light — it is a different look, not an add-on.

The Nova is a compact survey ship rather than a capital hull, so it suits a desk or a shelf that could not take a Galaxy or a Sovereign.

Is this a physical item or a digital file?
This listing is for physical 3D-printed PLA items. Options may include the model or prop, a display stand, or a set. No STL or digital download is included.

What is the difference between Cochrane, Equinox and Custom Registry?
Only the registry number and name printed on the hull. The model is identical.

What does Custom Registry mean?

Does it arrive assembled?
Yes, fully assembled and colour-printed.

Is it coloured?
Yes. The colour is printed into the model using multi-colour 3D printing — each colour is laid down in place as it prints, not painted on afterwards, so it cannot chip or flake.

Does the stand come off?
Yes, the base is removable.

How it's made

Printed in multi-colour PLA at a fine layer height, then hand-assembled and sanded back where needed. The colours are printed into the material rather than painted on, so hull pennants, registry numbers and aztec panelling cannot chip or flake. Made and finished in Sydney, Australia.

An honest note: this is FDM printing. Fine layer lines are visible up close — that is how the process works, not a defect. At normal display distance they disappear.
