9.6-Inch Defiant Class NX-74205 Defiant (Large)

The 9.6-inch (25 cm) USS Defiant NX-74205 model is a physical Star Trek: Deep Space Nine display ship, 3D printed in multi-colour PLA. Choose fully coloured or glow-in-the-dark, pre-assembled or DIY kit.

Fully colored or Glow in the dark? Fully colored is the screen-accurate scheme. Glow in the dark uses phosphorescent filament on the hull so the ship reads as a silhouette in a dark room after it has been under light — it is a different look, not an add-on.

Choosing a size: 25 cm sits comfortably on a shelf. The 7.4-Inch Defiant Class NX-74205 Defiant at 19 cm is the desk-sized version.

Is it coloured?
Yes. The colour is printed into the model using multi-colour 3D printing — each colour is laid down in place as it prints, not painted on afterwards, so it cannot chip or flake.

Does it come with a stand?
The model is supplied as shown in the photos — check the images.

How it's made

Printed in multi-colour PLA at a fine layer height, then hand-assembled and sanded back where needed. The colours are printed into the material rather than painted on, so hull pennants, registry numbers and aztec panelling cannot chip or flake. Made and finished in Sydney, Australia.

An honest note: this is FDM printing. Fine layer lines are visible up close — that is how the process works, not a defect. At normal display distance they disappear.
