22-inch Sovereign Class NCC-1701-E Enterprise

The USS Enterprise-E model is a physical Star Trek: First Contact display ship, 3D printed in PLA and made in Sydney. Choose 17-inch or 22-inch size and fully coloured or glow finish.

Fully colored or Glow in the dark? Fully colored is the screen-accurate scheme. Glow in the dark uses phosphorescent filament on the hull so the ship reads as a silhouette in a dark room after it has been under light — it is a different look, not an add-on.

The Sovereign is a long, low hull, so it takes less shelf depth than its length suggests. At 43 cm it fits a normal bookshelf; at 54 cm allow about 58 cm of clear run.

How it's made

Printed in multi-colour PLA at a fine layer height, then hand-assembled and sanded back where needed. The colours are printed into the material rather than painted on, so hull pennants, registry numbers and aztec panelling cannot chip or flake. Made and finished in Sydney, Australia.

An honest note: this is FDM printing. Fine layer lines are visible up close — that is how the process works, not a defect. At normal display distance they disappear.
