This 21-inch Pella Raptor-class light cruiser model from The Expanse is a physical multi-colour PLA display piece. Choose fully assembled or a DIY kit.

The Raptor-class hull is long and narrow rather than bulky, so it takes less shelf depth than its length suggests; allow about 55 cm of run and roughly 15 cm of depth.

Fully assembled arrives finished. DIY Kit is the same parts, unassembled.

Yes. The colour is printed into the model using multi-colour 3D printing — each colour is laid down in place as it prints, not painted on afterwards, so it cannot chip or flake.

How it's made

Printed in multi-colour PLA at a fine layer height, then hand-assembled and sanded back where needed. The colours are printed into the material rather than painted on, so hull striping and panel markings cannot chip or flake. Made and finished in Sydney, Australia.

An honest note: this is FDM printing. Fine layer lines are visible up close — that is how the process works, not a defect. At normal display distance they disappear.
