At this size the structures along the dorsal spine become individually readable, which is the main reason to choose 20 inches over the 13-inch (35 cm) version. Allow about 56 cm of shelf.

How it's made

Printed in multi-colour PLA at a fine layer height, then hand-assembled and sanded back where needed. The colours are printed into the material rather than painted on, so hull striping and panel markings cannot chip or flake. Made and finished in Sydney, Australia.

An honest note: this is FDM printing. Fine layer lines are visible up close — that is how the process works, not a defect. At normal display distance they disappear.
