12-inch Galaxy Class NCC-1701-D Enterprise

The 12-inch (31 cm) USS Enterprise-D model is a physical Star Trek: The Next Generation display ship, 3D printed in multi-colour PLA and supplied fully assembled. Choose fully coloured or glow-in-the-dark finish.

Fully colored or Glow in the dark? Fully colored is the screen-accurate scheme. Glow in the dark uses phosphorescent filament on the hull so the ship reads as a silhouette in a dark room after it has been under light — it is a different look, not an add-on.

Choosing a size: at 31 cm this is the easiest Enterprise to place — a desk, a cabinet shelf, a standard bookshelf. The larger 14.5-inch Galaxy Class NCC-1701-D Enterprise (Large) at 37 cm resolves the saucer detailing more finely.

This is a physical 3D-printed PLA display model. No STL or digital download is included.

How big is it?

12-inch fits anywhere. 14.5-inch (37 cm) is the display version.

Is it coloured?
Yes. The colour is printed into the model using multi-colour 3D printing — each colour is laid down in place as it prints, not painted on afterwards, so it cannot chip or flake.

How it's made

Printed in multi-colour PLA at a fine layer height, then hand-assembled and sanded back where needed. The colours are printed into the material rather than painted on, so hull pennants, registry numbers and aztec panelling cannot chip or flake. Made and finished in Sydney, Australia.

An honest note: this is FDM printing. Fine layer lines are visible up close — that is how the process works, not a defect. At normal display distance they disappear.
